Arthur J Cragie - Watch and Clock
repairs. Just after the outbreak of war, Arthur gives
up his shop at
No 24 Victoria Street and works full-time for
the Royal Observer Corps. However, in his spare time,
he continues to carry out watch and clock repairs
at a bench in his family dining room here at No 8.
In 1946, he resumes his business, not at No 24 Victoria
Street which has been bombed but in a rented shop
at No
11 Trinity Street. (Source: Arthur's son John
